Dr. Rodger Narloch is a Professor of Psychology and Director of the Benedictine Institute at St. John’s and St. Ben’s. He is also a graduate of St. John’s and went on to earn his M.A. and Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a focus on identity development in emerging adulthood and the processes of decision-making that facilitate happiness. In addition to his service as Psychology Department Chair for nine years, he has consistently led efforts to foster the Catholic and Benedictine mission. Rodger has received CSBSJU’s Academic Advising Award (2004), CSBSJU’s Robert L. Spaeth Teacher of Distinction Award (2006), and Collegium’s Visionary Award (2016).
