This will be the startup funding to create an ongoing reading group on teaching in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition (CIT). Dr. Erin Reid (Education) and Dr. Matthew Risling (English) had the privilege of attending Collegium in the summer of 2025 and want to bring the discussion format to St. Mary’s University in Calgary, Canada. Our primary goal is to further Collegium’s mission of understanding what it means to teach university in the Catholic tradition and to respond creatively to the demands of our time, while building a sense of belonging among all faculty and St. Mary’s.
